Our History
In 1952 W.O. Giles acquired the Hol-in-One Donut Co. in Arkansas. He moved the business to Montgomery, Alabama, where it began producing and selling frozen donuts and a line of small donut fryers.
The business grew and expanded to include a line of chicken fryers … purchasing parts from an outside fabricator and assembling them in-house.
In 1967 Giles Enterprises, Inc. was incorporated. Mr. Giles’ desire to have his company completely manufacture his electric chicken fryer concepts led to a collaboration with Mr. William McNeal. The result was establishment of a manufacturing plant that began completely fabricating and assembling his fryer designs.
These two entrepreneurs’ innovative thinking led to the development of a Ventless Recirculating Ventilation Technology for food service applications … an industry first.
Company growth and innovation continued … developing and patenting a High-efficiency Gas Fryer, High-volume Banked Fryers, Heated Merchandisers and much more.
Today, Giles remains a privately held, family owned business that produces a wide variety of innovative food service solutions including fryers, heated merchandisers and prep equipment, which is sold worldwide.
Every year, new products and features, such as KitchenTrac™ remote equipment monitoring, are being introduced to keep pace with the ever-changing demands of the marketplace and exceed customer expectations for performance, durability and profitability. In short, we continue Mr. Giles’ vision.
